Who May Attend?
Any adult who is lonely or isolated, or who is looking for a social environment to provide respite for a carer. The Centre has wheelchair access, disabled toilet facilities and can cater for specific dietary needs.
About The Centre
Carleen Day Care was was set up in 1989 by Carleen Community Church which is part of the worldwide Apostolic Church fellowship. The staff include a full-time co-ordinator, a catering officer and a group of highly dedicated volunteers.
A management committee has oversight and responsibility for the centre which is used and approved by the Department of Adult Social Care of Cornwall County Council.
Location
The new, purpose built centre was constructed in 1997 and offers excellent facilities including ample car parking. It is situated in a quiet area in Carleen village, surrounded by lovely country views, with Helston Town just 3 miles away.
